during a 30-day period will consume 45 kWh of energy.

and the amount of energy it consumes. The energy consumption of each burner
will increase with the increase in the size of the hot plate. Small kitchen
burners consume about 1,200 watts of power while medium-sized burners can take
between 1,500 and 1,800 watts, and large burners may use about 2,500 watts or
more on average.
The power consumption cost varies widely throughout
different regions; hence it is difficult to suggest an exact figure. However,
employing the average cost per kilowatt-hour (kWh) unit for a certain location
can make it possible to gauge the cost of operation of either a hot plate or an
electric burner for a month.
